The second annual - RICE TASTING CONTEST
In its second year, the Rice tasting contests return, as an opportunity for exporters and brand owners to showcase their best rice. There are no losers, as all the varieties and brands on display reveal the diversity in variety, even as non-export countries submit entries to reveal that there is more to rice than what is seen in the global trade.
An excellent opportunity for the best in the business to gain recognition, raise awareness, or just be seen, the rice tasting contest has grown to represent an opportunity for the global rice industry to showcase diversity, even if the rice usage is guided by tradition, heritage and centuries of culture.
Rice from all over the world are welcome to be presented to conference delegates for a tasting contest, a contest that will reveal the wide taste profiles, and characteristics of rice, and the characteristics that make it the choice food for more than half the world's population.
How to join?
Simply submit 2 x 2kg samples (1 for the chefs and one for the display at the conference). Open to all rice varieties, exported or not - the contest is a celebration of rice in our daily lives.
